## Emma's take

Laces cinched tight, stockings held exactly where you want them.

These garters do double duty. Corset-style lacing up front is the visual, while built-in clips underneath do the actual work of holding stockings in place. Faux leather and satin laces read as a scene piece, but the 18 to 26 inch adjustable fit is what makes them wearable on more than one body, worn under clothing or fully on display. Skip these if you want soft and stretchy. This is structure, worn on purpose, whether stockings are the whole outfit or the finishing detail.
